Vintage - Lane & Co Platter with Fruit motif T-13, made in Van Nuys CA, 1958

A large ceramic platter by Lane and Company in Van Nuys, California. It is 20 1/4 inches wide and 15 inches tall. It is a nice ivory color with a very decorative fruit design with a lot of great color. It is about 1 inch deep across the whole platter. It is well marked on the bottom with all the manufacture details inscribed on the piece as well as date if 1958 and pattern number of T-13. The bottom has 3 rim lines appearing to be designed to hold the platter up from the table. It is also somewhat uneven in what appears to be the reverse of the pattern on top. The piece is free from any chips or cracks on the surface. The bottom has some areas of void or holes that are part of the manufacture process during firing from the kiln stilts. All the areas of concern are under the glaze. A great piece.
